"Getting On"

"Getting on" At the appointed time Magnetron, Electro and Deacon arrived at the Rotunda and were escorted - for the last time - through the lifts down to the secret levels of Squadron: Birmingham's base. They were met by Miasma who, again, thanked them for their help in defeating the plans of the evil Cyberlord. She explained that all three of them were already probationary members of Sq:B and that today's exercise was to allow the extant team to assess their abilities and how they could best be deployed. It was not a pass or fail exam. In addition she explained that she would be passively monitoring the exercise and, at the first sign of stress, to either side, she would halt proceedings. She wouldn't use her mental abilities to directly intervene at any time. "The mind is powerful but fragile thing", she repeated. She wouldn't risk any mental harm for a mere training session. The exercise would be overseen by Warrior. Steel Reign, Agony Aun

But that NEVER happens on TV!

But that NEVER happens on TV!! Awakening from the doze induced by her hastily thrown together cute, Agony Aunt checked to find most of the scales dotting her flesh had gone. Then her attention was drawn firstly to the flashing notifications on her computer screen, then to the frenzied banging on her door and finally to the ringing of her phone. Behind the door was a distraught and battered Electro, babbling incoherently about her parents. On the phone was Senior Sergeant Macmillan of the West Midlands Police Force asking if she’d seen the news. On the news was the impossible sight of a mechanoid hundreds of feet tall. Seemingly formed from the Cadbury Chocolate Factory, standing bestride the Bournville Trust and threatening the entire City. The pieces fell into place. Magnatron - captured. Deacon - captured. Steel Reign - captured. Steel - missing. Electro’s parents - missing, fate unknown. Squadron U.K. still MIA. Just Agony Aunt and a traumatised Electro left. And Sergeant Ma

Carnage and the chocolate factory

Steel Reign stood motionless atop his pedestal outside the Cadbury offices, pretending, as he had for days, that he was merely an ornamental artefact. Magnatron patrolled the toll paths of the nearby canal. Deacon was concealed atop near by buildings, watching. Jamie Pryde and her parents prepared for their visit to Cadbury world. Just before they set out, they received a call from Agony Aunt. She was ill and unable to make the appointment.  (She neglected to mention the strange effects that the use of Tyrannosaurus Blood in her experiments in regeneration had had upon her.) Steel was also not at the appointed rendezvous. Jamie and her parents entered Cadbury World on their own, a small family unit.  During the introductory tour, Electro reached out with her senses. The factory was flooded with power. Every single employee in the factory carried an electrical signal - some kind of cybernetic device implanted in their bodies. So did everybody taking part in the tour. El

The End of Times

The End of Times Magnatron, Deacon, Agony Aunt, Electro and Steel Reign stood ready. The purple portal swelled, dominating Victoria Square. Soon Timelord would pour perils from other eras upon the streets of Birmingham. In the past only Squadron Birmingham had thwarted him - Techknight disappearing into the Portal to tackle the fiend himself - whilst his team-mates held the line in the 21st century.  Last time, the assault had cost the life of Spearhead - torn to pieces by Raptors (banned and blocked, the footage continues to resurface) - leading, most believe, to the current decline of the group. The few squads of lightly armed riot police which was all the Force had had time to assemble - the army being still over an hour away - stood boldly reinforcing the Heroes. There was a cheer as two Air Force Tornadoes passed overhead. Then a gasp as the portal bifurcated - one half facing New Street, the other the Town Hall. This was new! Even Sq:B had never faced a two-h
